Part 2 of Annapolis includes our walk from the State Building to the Academy, through the Chapel, to the crypt of John Paul Jones, and back through town to the parking garage. Again, no captions, just photography viewing pleasure.
Fun fact for you:
The anchors outside of the Naval Academy Chapel (the one where I'm "holding" the anchor) weren't originally there. Originally, there were guns outside of the chapel until 1939/1940.
"Upon Chaplain Thomas’ suggestion, the naval guns which formerly decorated the main approach to the Chapel were removed and two large old-fashioned anchors, made for the Navy’s first armored cruiser New York, were substituted as being more symbolic of the Christian tradition."
